ABOUT THE CLASS:
3 days Class – 3rd to 5th December from 10 AM to 7 PM
The Making “Realistic Acrylics Eyes” by itself will be going on Dec. 3rd from 10 AM to 1 PM.
This is an advanced class on the Art of Needle Felting, however; I’m providing the tools and core body of the doll to make this a friendly class to all skill levels! Even children over the age of 10. The Needle felting Class will also include videos of the class on DVDs for the students to take home! 
The size of the doll is about 8 Inches high in a sitting position, and the eye size for this doll is about 26mm to 30mm.
Each student will be provided with enough material to finish the doll in the class: Needles, foam pad, wool, fabric, etc.
For the “Realistic Acrylics Eyes” the student will be provided with one (1) kit to make one pair of eyes, more kits, molds, and iris printings will be available to purchase later on, and a full list of materials in writing is included.
Please notice that we will be working with very sharp needles, “poking’ accidents normally happen, I will recommend you bring thimbles to protect your fingers.
We will be working with 100% wool material, please consider this if you have any allergies to wool.
I will NOT recommend this class if you suffer from severe Carpal Tunnel syndrome.
 
What would you learn?
Master Needle Felting:
How to build a core/base in wool for our sculpture, this is a large-sized felted doll (about 8 inches in a sitting pose) and I will be adding some extra tricks to make the core.
How to create and attach limbs to the body
How to properly use the needles and tools
Adding colors to the body.
Sculpting in wool to create the realistic face of this character.
Making and attaching the ears.
How to attach the eyes.
Adding realistic hair features.
How to attach the head to the body in order to be movable.
Adding whiskers!
How to decorate and finish the doll, there will be hand stitching involved, so bring your magnifiers if you don’t have good vision 😉 I also recommend bringing an apron and lint remover in case you don’t mind fuzzy wool in your clothing.
 
Making Realistic Acrylics Eyes:
This one technique applies to all kinds/sizes of eyes; human, animal, or fantasy, in the class the student will be able to choose one pair to make, and also will be able to choose a size from 18mm, 20mm, 26mm, and  30mm, we will work with printed Irises and resin eye cores; if the student is skilled on Photoshop and 3D printing you will be able to create your own designs, if not; I will advise in how to make you own eye cores in clay and mold it to be used with resin and we will be selling print out of irises.
