Antiperspirant and Deodorant:
Before we dive into the detox process, it’s important to understand the difference between antiperspirant and deodorant. Antiperspirants contain aluminum-based compounds that temporarily block sweat glands, preventing perspiration. Deodorants, on the other hand, do not stop sweat but aim to mask or eliminate odor by neutralizing bacteria.
Some people who have tried transitioning from an antiperspirant routine to a deodorant have experienced an increase in odor or found that the deodorant doesn’t seem to work as effectively (this was my own experience as well). This happens because, as the body switches from using an antiperspirant, it begins to release the buildup of previous chemicals and toxins that were trapped in the sweat glands. The following information explains how the body tries to release these substances, which is why a detox routine is recommended during this transition period.

In my own experience, I’ve met two friends who actually needed surgery to remove lumps from their armpit area due to blockages in the lymph nodes. While I didn’t experience such severe issues, I did encounter similar problems. I soon realized how harmful antiperspirants can be to your body, and that was the turning point for me. This realization is what led me to start making my own natural deodorants, and I’ve felt much better since making the switch.
Please note: The "armpit detox" is a suggested step for transitioning your body to an aluminum-free deodorant routine. The baking soda ingredient may cause irritation in some individuals, so it is important to start with slow doses. If any skin irritation occurs, discontinue the detox routine immediately. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
Some people claim that armpit detoxification can help remove toxins and reduce sweat and odor. However, there is no medical or scientific evidence to support the idea of detoxing the armpits. Advocates of this method also suggest that it eliminates so-called "cancer-causing" toxins, enhances the effectiveness of natural deodorants, prevents body odor, and even "drains" the lymph nodes.
The process is relatively simple — mix up a mask using common household ingredients, apply it to the armpits, let it sit for 5-20 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.
Ingredients:
